This 35-minute video is misnamed. It is not a "cardio challenge"--it is not a cardiovascular workout at all. Rather, it is the classical yoga sun salutation, "a sequence of 12 poses that flow dynamically, one into the other," explains instructor Lilias Folan. This flowing yoga develops your flexibility and muscle strength, but it's a stretch (pun intended) to say it "contributes significantly to cardiovascular fitness." Once you get past the false expectations of the title, you'll enjoy this gentle, careful instruction of the sun salutation. Folan teaches all 12 poses one by one, spending enough time in each one that you not only learn them correctly, but understand the fine points of each posture: how to get in proper alignment, where to look, where to feel the stretch, what muscles are being used, for example.
